Sharechat Plus FAQ

1. Why do I see preview when I click on share?

It is a part of a new product called Sharechat+, which allows users to share personalized images and have ads-free experience on the app.

2. What is ShareChat+ (ShareChat Plus)?

  1. Sharechat + is new feature which offers personalized share for Images and limited ads-free experience on Sharechat app

  2. It can be accessed by clicking on Share icon for any image post, or via a banner available on your profile.

3. What are the benefits of subscribing to SC Plus?

  • Ad-free experience: SC Plus subscribers get an ad-free experience with a 99% reduction in ad load, ensuring a seamless and uninterrupted browsing experience.

  • Personalised sharing: SC Plus subscribers get an option to customize and personalize images before sharing, where they can include multiple details like profile picture, name, phone number, email ID, business name, etc. on the content itself before sharing.

However, please note that SC Plus benefits are still a work in progress. We are updating access to these benefits as per user response. In case of any changes to the benefits available at the time of subscription, we will be unable to refund any amounts paid. However, please be assured we will provide you an updated set of new and exciting benefits.

4. What is Personalized Share?

Users can personalize any image post/content while sharing through Sharechat. Personalization can be done by adding profile picture, name, user handle, phone number, email ID, Business name and logo

5. Where can i see me order history?

Go to Profile ➡ Click on Hamburger Icon on top right ➡ Click on Sharechat+ ➡ Click on wallet icon on top right of SC+ landing page

6. How long is trial period?

3 days of free personalized sharing

7. How can I edit the personalized preview?

Click on ‘Edit’ icon on top right of the preview in Share screen

8. How to use the Personalized Share/Download?

  1. Swipe to the first image to share the original and non-personalized post
  2. Swipe to 2nd and consecutive images to share personalized post

9. What information can i add in template?

Picture, Name, User Handle, Bio, Contact Number, Location, Email Id, Business Name, Business Logo

10. Will my subscription period reduce even if I don’t use Personalized Share for that day?

Yes

11. After how much time will I access to ShareChat+ start after I buy the subscription?

  1. Access to Personalized share will be granted immediately after the purchase
  2. Ads-free experience will be enabled after 60mins of purchase and user would have to close and re-open the app

12. In how much time will payment be done approximately?

It can take up to 3-5 business days for a payment to reach us and get marked as successful

13. What will happen if the money is deducted but it doesn’t reach us?

Sometimes, the payment gets deducted from your account but does not reach our account and the payment status shows as ‘Payment Failed’. In such scenarios, the bank will initiate reversal of the payment to your account within 3-5 business days.

14. Can I ask for a refund?

SC Plus subscriptions are non-refundable. Refunds cannot be initiated after you have purchased a subscription.

15. What does auto renewal mean?

Auto-renewal is a recurring subscription and payment feature that allows you to auto-renew your SC Plus subscription as soon as your current plan ends.

16. How does auto renewal work?

Once you subscribe to SC Plus, you give us permission to set up an auto-debit functionality. The plan amount is automatically debited from your account at a fixed interval, which is the date of your plan expiry in this case.

17. What’s the benefit of auto renewal?

  • Convenience: You don't need to manually make payments each time your SC Plus expires.

  • Uninterrupted Service: With auto-renewal, you won't miss a single day of SC Plus benefits.

18. I don’t want the auto renewal feature. How can I cancel it?

A user can cancel the auto-renewal feature anytime. Simply go to your profile and click on hamburger menu on the top right, then click on Sharechat + to go to SC+ landing page. Click on the 3 dots on top right to go to SC Plus Hub, then click on Manage Subscription to see your current subscription and further options.

19. What happens if I don't have sufficient funds in my account for auto renewal?

In case of insufficient funds, a grace period of 3 days is provided. Auto-renewal will be attempted on all the 3 days. The subscription will finally be canceled if auto-renewal still fails after 3 days. We also reserve the right to cancel the mandate/renewal of SC Plus in case any action is taken against you due to violation of Community Standards or the standards prescribed in this FAQ.

20. Can I change the payment method for the auto renewal payment?

To change the payment method, you need to first cancel your ongoing subscription by going to the SC Plus Hub section. You can then buy or extend your SC Plus subscription with a new payment method when your subscription is about to expire.

21. What if I’m charged more than the specified amount or at irregular intervals?

The auto-renewal system is completely secure and ShareChat will only charge you the SC Plus plan amount on the date of expiry.

22. What is SC Plus subscription at INR 1/month?

In this subscription, ShareChat will charge only INR 1/- to a new subscription buyer for the first month and next month onwards it will be charged basis actuals and might auto renew if auto renew is enabled on the initial subscription bought
