1. Who can purchase a SC Blue subscription?
SC Blue subscriptions are currently available to only individual profiles on SC that meet our eligibility criteria. Business/organization profiles are ineligible to apply for SC Blue at this time.
2. What are the eligibility criteria for subscribing to SC Blue?
Your account must be older than 7 days and must be active at least once in 7 days prior to subscribing to SC Blue
Your account must have a valid profile picture, name, username(@handle), and bio. SC Blue subscription can also be availed by accounts with stage/pseudo names adhering to the naming guidelines
Your account must have a verified phone number
Your account must have no signs of being misleading or deceptive or doing impersonation
Your account must have no signs/history of engaging in activities violating platform community guidelines and spam
Once a user subscribes to SC Blue, all the benefits will be made available once our team reviews your account and if it meets our eligibility criteria.
3. What does the Blue Tick mean?
The blue tick means that the account has an active subscription to SC Blue and meets our eligibility requirements. The blue tick does not verify the real identity of the user. Blue tick is given over and above existing badges (such as Golden/Purple Badges)
4. What are the benefits of subscribing to SC Blue ?
Blue Tick: SC Blue subscribers will receive a blue tick on their profile making them part of an exclusive club.
Ad-free experience: SC Blue subscribers get an ad-free experience with a 99% reduction in ad load, ensuring a seamless and uninterrupted browsing experience.
Ranking boost in Search & Comments: SC Blue subscriber profiles will receive a priority on top in search results and comments.
Exclusive Chatroom Gifting Access: For users opting for a 1-year subscription, we will enable Chatroom gifting experience, where you will be able to create Chatrooms and with gifting enabled for all your Chatroom users.
However, please note that SC Blue benefits are still a work in progress. We are updating access to these benefits as per user response. In case of any changes to the benefits available at the time of subscription, we will be unable to refund any amounts paid. However, please be assured we will provide you an updated set of new and exciting benefits.
5. Why do I need to go through a review process to get a Blue Tick?
We’re committed to making SC a platform where people can join and engage safely. We review SC Blue subscriber profiles to curb impersonation of notable public personalities, spam, and other deceptive accounts to the best of our ability.
In case, a notable public personality like a Movie/TV/Sports Celebrity, Politician, etc. subscribes to SC Blue, they might be asked for additional documentation to establish their authenticity.
6. How can I change my profile picture or name after getting a SC Blue subscription?
SC Blue subscribers can now change their profile attributes i.e. profile picture, name, username, cover photo and bio by submitting their requested changes via Edit Profile. These changes are then reviewed for any violation of our guidelines, and will start reflecting on your profile once found safe. Once you raise an edit request, there will be a cooloff period before you can request for a change again.
7. What happens to my legacy Blue Tick?
As we test and learn, there will be no immediate changes to accounts on SC that are already having a Blue Tick based on prior requirements. However, existing Blue Tick holders can also get a SC Blue subscription to unlock additional benefits. Also, existing Blue Tick holders will be provided with adequate transition time to opt-in for SC Blue or any other relevant service as and when a decision pertaining to this will be made.
8. I don’t have access to purchase the SC Blue subscription. Why?
SC Blue subscription is currently available only to select individual accounts on SC. We are testing this product and closely listening to user feedback and will be making any changes necessary before rolling it out to everyone. Rest assured that you’ll get access to Blue very soon.
9. Why can’t I get a Blue Tick for my business?
SC Blue subscription is currently designed keeping in mind individual user/creator needs first. However, we are working on curating the best possible offerings for Businesses as well, and soon you’ll hear from us.
10. What happens if I don't renew my SC Blue subscription?
Once the subscription validity expires, all the benefits including Blue Tick will no longer be available on your SC account.
11. If I’ve subscribed to SC Blue, but decide I no longer want my blue tick, can I remove it?
No, a Blue Tick obtained with a SC Blue subscription cannot be removed by subscribers during the term of their subscription - even canceling the subscription will not remove the blue tick until the subscription term expires.
12. Can I get a refund if I'm not satisfied with my SC Blue subscription?
SC Blue subscriptions are non-refundable. Once the subscription is availed and your application is approved, you can not claim a refund. However, if during the initial review, your profile is found not eligible, a refund will be initiated.
13. What are the payment options available for SC Blue subscriptions?
Currently, we are accepting payment in INR only. Users have the option to pay through credit cards, debit cards, Google Play, UPI apps, and wallets.
14. I have an active subscription to SC Blue but my Blue Tick disappeared?
Once the SC Blue subscription is activated, your blue tick can be removed without any prior notice if your account is found in violation of our content and community guidelines. Furthermore, depending on the severity of the violation, your account might be restricted from purchasing/activating SC Blue for a certain period of time in the future.
15. Where can I get updates related to the review process? Or How can I find out why my application was rejected?
All the communications related to the SC Blue subscription review will be shared via SC DM from the official SC Blue account.
16. Why do I need to provide my ID as part of the SC Blue subscription?
In order to maintain platform integrity and potential misuse, we ask for a valid government ID during the SC Blue application. Your ID helps in assigning the appropriate account type and validating your SC account during the review process.
17. Can I trust SC with my government ID? How do I know it won't be misused? Is my personal data secure?
SC is a reputable platform and has implemented security measures to safeguard user data. We strive to protect your information and have a responsibility to handle it securely. As part of the ID submission process, we ask you for a valid masked ID with only your Name, Date of Birth, and Photo visible. We would be deleting your government ID related data immediately after approval or rejection of your blue tick status. Only the name and photo would be retained.
18. Do I need to submit an ID every time I renew my subscription?

19. Will my ID be visible to other users or displayed on my profile?
No, your ID will not be visible to other users or displayed on your profile. SC will only use the information provided for review purposes and will not share it publicly.
20. What happens if my government ID is rejected during the review process?
If your government ID is rejected during the review process, you will be informed of a reason for the rejection via Notification and DM on SC App. You may be asked to upload a different form of identification or provide additional information to complete the review successfully.
21. Are there any specific requirements or restrictions on the type of government ID that can be uploaded?
We accept commonly used government-issued identification documents such as Driver's License, PAN Card, and Aadhar Card. We ask you for a masked ID to help prevent any data security risks.
22. What if I don't feel comfortable uploading my government ID? Are there any alternatives?
As part of the ID submission process, we ask you for a valid masked ID with only your Name, Date of Birth, and Photo visible. As such there would be no possibility of misuse of your personal information.

24. What does auto renewal mean?
Auto-renewal is a recurring subscription and payment feature that allows you to auto-renew your SC Blue subscription as soon as your current plan ends..
25. How does auto renewal work?
Once you subscribe to SC Blue, you give us permission to set up an auto-debit functionality. The plan amount is automatically debited from your account at a fixed interval, which is the date of your plan expiry in this case.
26. What’s the benefit of auto renewal?
Convenience: You don't need to manually make payments each time your SC Blue expires. Uninterrupted Service: With auto-renewal, you won't miss a single day of SC Blue benefits.
27. I don’t want the auto renewal feature. How can I cancel it?
A user can cancel the auto-renewal feature anytime. Simply go to SC Blue Hub by clicking on the hamburger menu. Go to Manage Subscription. Click on SC Blue. You'll find the Cancel Subscription option.
28. What happens if I don't have sufficient funds in my account for auto renewal?
In case of insufficient funds, a grace period of 3 days is provided. Auto-renewal will be attempted on all the 3 days. The subscription will finally be canceled if auto-renewal still fails after 3 days. We also reserve the right to cancel the mandate/renewal of SC Blue in case any action is taken against you due to violation of Community Standards or the standards prescribed in this FAQ.
29. Can I change the payment method for the auto renewal payment?
To change the payment method, you need to first cancel your ongoing subscription by going to the SC Blue Hub section. You can then buy or extend your SC Blue subscription with a new payment method when your subscription is about to expire.
30. What if I’m charged more than the specified amount or at irregular intervals?
The auto-renewal system is completely secure and ShareChat will only charge you the SC Blue plan amount on the date of expiry.
